A free art day at the Dell house with tuition from Tom. Wednesday November the 1st 2017

I will be running a painting and drawing workshop at the Dell house in Malvern Wells.

A relaxed day of art based around the site of this stunning 19th Century Guest house in the foot of the Malvern hills, which features extensive grounds reclaimed by owners Kevin and Elizabeth from sprawling bramble and laurel to picturesque mature gardens dotted with quirky original features and new woodcarvings. We hope to be able to work outside, but the house offers plenty of space and interest inside should the weather be against us.

9:30am arrival for tea and coffee, for a 10am start. The day will consist of a short talk on composition and subject matter, followed by your own time to explore, set up and work in whatever 2d media you wish. I will be there to offer help and advice where required.

On this single occasion the tuition and venue will be provided completely free, Lunch will be provided at a cost of £7 per person (this includes tea and coffee on arrival).

If you have any special dietary requirements please contact Kevin and Elizabeth : - 01684 564448

Equipment: if you can bring your own then fantastic, I have 6 easels available so if you want to borrow one just let me know when you book (first come first serve). Don't forget suitable outdoor footwear and warm clothes!

We would love for you to join us and enjoy making some art in this stunning location. There are limited spaces available so please book now to avoid disappointment.

If you wish to extend your day and stay over please contact Kevin and Elizabeth. (This part we cannot offer for free)   01684 564448

Friday the 3rd of April 2015:

Tonight we held an auction for a friend of mine Stu Brookes, I helped organise the night and put up 3 pieces of art for the auction. Unfortunately I wasnt well enough to make the actual auction but Im told it was an excellent event with a lovely atmosphere.

You can find out more about Stu's cause at

A huge thank you from me and on behalf of Stu to anyone who donated items and particulalry to those who paid (often above the odds) for them to help Stu. The 3 pieces of work all sold and went towards the £6000 the evening made.
